Comprehensive Health Program

Project Vida’s Teen pregnancy prevention program focuses on positive youth development and increasing access to preventative services while increasing family and students’ optimal health.

Project Vida during the next three expects to reach more than 6,000 youth per year and continue improving the school’s social system support while encouraging access to services in order to decrease unplanned teen pregnancy as well as STIs and HIV. This program has been implemented under another OPA grant from August 2016 to June 2020.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention reached 10,659 youth from August 2016 to March 2020 in the Socorro, Canutillo, El Paso, and Clint Independent School Districts. Communities that are predominantly rural, Hispanic, and lack the resources of other comfortable areas of El Paso.
